Emo week with Mat Kearney

I've been in a Motown and Mat Kearney mood this week. I think I got into the Motown mood from American Idol. Yesterday, they had a lot of Diana Ross' music. She's so awesome and is still a DIVA.


Being a Counting Crows and Coldplay fan, I've been drawn to Mat Kearney. I love "Nothing Left To Lose". I've been listening to his CD the whole day.

I have to post this here because I always have to search for it. Here's a nice quick-n-easy summary.



* Apple (Command) Key + Shift + 3

Captures entire desktop to a file on the desktop as 'picture #' . This option lets you capture the whole screen. If you want just one window on your screen, you will have to edit the picture using image editing software.


* Apple + Shift + 4

Allows you to use your mouse to select a specific part of your desktop for capture. This will turn your mouse pointer into a cross, please hold down the mouse button and drag to select the part of the screen you want. When you release the button the screenshot will "snap" that part of the screen. Press 'Esc' to release.


* Apple + Shift + 4 then press Spacebar

Allows you to select which window to capture.

Were you lucky enough to see this commercial? I caught it while watching Desperate Housewives last month. OH. MY. GAH. This is the best kiss eveR. Watching this just makes me wanna find someone to make out with.

Sigh. How I miss kisses like this. It's so rare to feel such a connection. But if you have, I'm sure watching this will bring some feelings back.

I went see Snow Patrol in concert this evening at the Bill Graham Civic Center. They were pretty good live. I was won over as soon as they spoke into the mic and heard their sexy Irish accent. ;) Ah! Memories of Raymond- the Irish exchange student/soccer (football) player from Yale. Sigh.

Anyway, Snow Patrol pretty much played all the songs from their recent album. My personal favorite songs are: Run, Open Your Eyes, Chocolate, Hands Open, Grazed Knees, and Set Fire to the Third Bar -- they picked a girl from the crowd to get on stage to sing with them! Oh and of course Chasing Cars, but did I really have to mention that?

It was sad they didn't perform the whole song to "You Could Be Happy". It's a sad song that makes me feel warm inside. Does that even make sense? Well, it's one of those. Anyway, I browsed YouTube for a video and came across this.


It's the perfect song to my favorite Opera. :) All I ask of you...Oh tear! True love!
